The film debuted on top of the South Korean box office, where it earned $8,96 million from 1,19 million admissions between Wednesday and Sunday.

Movie review:
  • Kim Pan Soo is a pick pocket. He don't have steady job for monthly income and paying his son tuition. He across Ryoo Jung Hwan and stole his briefcase. Ryoo Jung Hwan located Kim Pan Soo house and went straight there to pick up his briefcase.
  • Ryoo Jung Hwan is a chief of Korean Language Society. He and his colleague doing secret mission to make Korean dictionary. At that time, Japanese government banned Korean language.
  • Teacher Jo who know Kim Pan Soo well, bring hime to work with them. Ryoo Jung Hwan refuse to work with Kim Pan Soo. Kim Pan Soo keep staying around them to help doing simple thing for them.
  • Ryoo Jung Hwan told Pan Soo to learn reading hangul for a month and he will accept Pan Soo work there.Some high position policeman come to the book store and ask for Ryoo Jung Hwan. The member move all their document to the basement to keep it from the police.
  • Kim Pan Soo volunteer to went to printing press company. He saw Im Dong Ik was beat up and help them. Pan Soo bring him to the book store and try to fnd medicine. Ryoo Jung Hwan saw him and accuse him stole their money.
  • Kim Pan Soo leave the bookstore, but he still learn to read hangul. Ryoo Jung Hwan visit Pan Soo house and apologized to him. Kim Pan Soo back to book store, and Ryoo Jung Hwan teach him to read hangul.
  • The society member faces many struggle with approaching other Korean language teacher. Kim Pan Soo bring his former prisoner friend to help them to make satoori dictionary, dialect from all over Korea.
  • They made advertisement on the magazine to collecting words from all over Korea. Nobody sent a reply to the book store. The police went to the book store, take all the document and arrest teacher Jo.
  • Teacher Jo died after tortured by the police. Teacher Jo has write other copy of document and keep it at his yard.Ryoo Jung Hwan take the document and keep it.
  • The mail man ask Ryoo Jung Hwan and Kim Pan Soo to their mail warehouse. They show all the mail from all over Korea, and some donation from the sender. They keep it there, so the Japanese won't take all the mail.
  • Ryoo Jung Hwan forced work under the Japanese government. The member split up because his decision. They try to deceived the policemen. They hold secret public hearing at the theater, with help from Kim Pan Soo and his friends.
  • The police catch up what they doing. They shot Ryoo Jung Hwan. Kim Pan Soo try to run with the document. He hide the document at some building and run away. He shot to die by the policeman.
  • Years later, when Korea gain their independence. Ryoo Jung Hwan and Kim Pan Soo friends find the document. they made the Korean dictionary and bring it to Kim Pan Soo son and daughter.
I got teary eye while watching this movie. Solidarity feels on colonial period was great. I wish my country have many historical movie too. Actually, I like Yu Hae Jin act. He is really a great actor. I think all his movie was really great too.

Introduction Bibimbap is a signature Korean dish. The word literally means "mixed rice". Bibimbap is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul (sauteed and seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste).
