Box Office:
In the first weekend of its release, The Dude in Me ranked second at the South Korean box office and sold 564,568 tickets at 1,041 screens. During the first five days since release the film has sold a total of 770,000 tickets. On the eight since the release movie surpassed 1 million ticket sales. At the end of 12 day since the movie premiere, The Dude in Me had attracted 1,6 million viewers.


Movie review:

  • Jang Pan Soo is a bussinesman and a member of criminal organization. He treatened Jong Ki to leave the building where his carpenter bussines office run. Man Chul beat up Jong Ki and his staff. Jang Pan Soo need the entire building for bussines expansion.
  • Kim Dong Hyun, a chubby high schooler and bullied by his classmates. Jong Ki only son. Kim Dong Hyun and Jang Pan Soo met at a restaurant. Later, Dong Hyun fell from a building and fall on Jang Pan Soo. Both end up in a hospital.
  • Kim Dong Hyun a wake, but inside him is Jang Pan Soo soul. Dong Hyun talk and act like Jang Pan Soo. Jong Ki was confused with his son and ask the doctor. Dong Hyun run away from hospital and went straight to his home, but his wife was scared of him and call the guard. Dong Hyun end up at the police station. Jong Ki bring him home.



  • Dong Hyun and Jong Ki meet the vice principle at school to ask what happen to Dong Hyun. The vice principle seems suspicious, so Dong Hyun plan to investigate by himself. He found a video on the day Dong Hyun was fell from the building. Dong Hyun try to help Oh Hyun Jung. Both of them seems bullied a lot at school.
  • Dong Hyun went to hospital to meet Man Chul and tell him that he is Jang Pan Soo inside Dong Hyun body. Man Chul didn't believe him at first, but he told about Man Chul life story. Dong Hyun told him to find a place for him and he plan to quit from school.
  • Dong Hyun met Oh Mi Sun, Oh Hyun Jung mother and surprised. Oh Mi Sun was Dong Hyun a.k.a Jang Pan Soo first love. He is doing a DNA test by grabbing at Oh Hyun Jung hair, and find out that she is his daughter. Dong Hyun stay at school to protect Oh Hyun Jung from bullies.



  • Kim Dong Hyun start to exercise and dieting, he drag Hyun Jung and ask Man Chul to train Hyun Jung boxing and self defense. Hyun Jung start to improving, she even fight back the bullies when they bothering her at cafetaria.
  • Dong Hyun walk home when he saw his father was beat up by loan shark. He sent Man Chul to defeat the loan shark and told them to erase Jong Ki debt interest. Dong Hyun take care and cook for Jong Ki.
  • Oh Mi Sun cook for Dong Hyun at her pub, she thanked Dong Hyun for helping Hyun Jung. Some drunk customer touch Mi Sun and dong Hyun beat them. Mi Sun asking who is Dong Hyun, and he said he is Jang Pan Soo. Oh Mi Sun was shocked and told him to leave



  • Oh Hyun Jung invited to a party by a friends that she like, but they plan to hurt Hyun Jung. Dong Hyun was told this plan by a friend, rush to their place and save Hyun Jung.
  • Meanwhile, some men guarding Jang Pan Soo ward at hospital. Man Chul investigate and found out Jang Pan Soo wife and CEO Yang plan to ruin Jang Pan Soo career and plan to kill him. Man Chul sent a letter to Jang Pan Soo father in laws to explain the real situation.
  • Dong Hyun went to meet Oh Mi Sun but she refuse to talk to him. Dong Hyun meet Hyun Jung outside the pub, Hyun Jung confess to him. Dong Hyun get angry and leave her. Mi Sun scold her for confessing to Dong Hyun.



  • Jang Pan Soo wake up from coma and went straight to his home. He is nagging at his father that he is transform into old man. Jong Ki who saw Jang Pan Soo, run away because he scared of him. Dong Hyun arrived at home and told them to sit down and tell them all the story.
  • Dong Hyun ask Jang Pan Soo to help him with Oh Mi Sun, Oh Mi Sun get angry and scold Dong Hyun, but in the end she hug Jang Pan Soo. Jang Pan Soo went to his father in law house and resolve his problem with his wife. Jang Pan Soo decided to leave the family to be with Oh Mi Sun and Hyun Jung.
  • Dong Hyun got accident and Jang Pan Soo black fainted after Dong Hyun unconscious. They switch soul again and return to their own self. 


In my personal opinion, this movie was funny. There was fun scene and sad scene too. It's good to wasting 2 hours to watch this. Jin Young action act was cool. The kiss scene too, between romantic and comedy. I really like Ra Mi Ran act here. Lastly, Park Sung Woong childish act was really fun.

Introduction Bibimbap is a signature Korean dish. The word literally means "mixed rice". Bibimbap is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul (sauteed and seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste).
