Book: The Birdwoman's Palate

Book review:
A novel about Aruna, a women who work on epidemiology Avian flu on 2012. She enjoying her job and life as a woman who loves food.
She have a friend named Bono. He is a famous chef. Sometimes he hang out at Aruna apartment, cooking and having meals together while talking about their life and jobs. They are really close like twins sibling.
Farish. Aruna hate him because of his play boy act who is into pretty and sexy woman. But, later on they have mutual feeling for each other.
Nadezhda, Aruna and Bono friend. A beautiful, sexy and rich lady. She write on some magazine as food columnist and own the restaurant where Bono work as a chef. Aruna think she is popcorn and Nadezhda is a champagne. She sometimes jealous with Nadezhda wild love life.

Aruna set to some island in Indonesia to check on patient with suspect Avian flu. Stuck together with Farish. She ask Bono to come together with them for culinary journey. Nadezhda later join them to try the food specialize at the island they will visit.
They visit Surabaya, Madura, Palembang, Parapat, Medan, Banda Aceh, Singkawang, Pontianak and Mataram. While Aruna and Farish busy with patient at the hospital, Bono try some traditional food. Later they will try on other restaurant and food together. Sometimes they feel wow at the food and sometimes dissapointed.
Many thing happen on this journey, Aruna team was fired on the middle of the work, Aruna feels betrayed and upset. Farish try to console Aruna and told her it's not her fault. Aruna still continue the culinary journey with her friends, and start having romantic relation ship with Farish.
