Yangpyeong Strawberry Festival - 양평딸기체험축제
Introduction
Yangpyeong, located in the middle of the Korean peninsula, is surrounded by several mountains and the Namhangang and Bukhangang River. Yangpyeong strawberries are raised in an environmentally friendly way are known to be sweet and rich in vitamins in Korea
The Yangpyeong Strawberry Festival is held from February to May. Visitors can pick their own strawberries at strawberry farms and participate in a variety of activities and programs in the village. There are several hands-on events throughout the festival for people of all ages, for instance, picking their own strawberries from the field, making natural soap with strawberries, traditional games, making traditional rice cake with strawberries, and so on. It's a valuable chance for kids and teenagers from the city to experience the lifestyle of the countryside. And the amount of strawberries that can be picked is limited to 500 grams per person. Reservation is required.

Yongmun Station (Gyeonggi Subway Jungang Line), Exit 1.
Go straight 130 m and then turn left at the blue street sign for Yongmun Bus Terminal (용문 버스터미널).
Go 100 m and then cross the street to the right.
In front of the Golden Valley (골든밸리) Store at the Yongmun Bus Terminal take Bus 7-7 (5 stops) or 7-3 (7 stops) to Hwajeon 2-ri Village Center (화전2리마을회관) bus stop.
